193 Elizabeth Ave., St. John's, NL A1B 1S9
The park and neighbourhood named in Churchill's honour after the Second World War was one of Canada's largest and earliest garden suburb developments when it was developed in the 1940s. The Government of Newfoundland commissioned Elizabeth Holbrook to create a bronze bust statue of Winston Churchill commemorating the signing of the Atlantic Charter in Placentia Bay on August 9, 1941. Celia Sandys, the granddaughter of Winston Churchill, referred to this bust statue as "the finest" that she has seen.
