Logy Bay-Middle Cove-Outer Cove artist Sarah O’Rourke-Whelan’s two murals, Terry Fox Memorial (2018) and Clotho, Lachesis, and Atropos (2020), are located on opposite sides of the underpass of a bridge at Outer Cove Beach. In partnership with the Town of LMO, the LMO Development Association sponsored the creation of the murals.
The site of the mural was where Terry Fox collected a bottle of Atlantic seawater before he began the Marathon of Hope at Mile Zero in St. John's on April 12, 1980.
The murals were part of the Terry Fox memorial plans that included a plaque and storyboard erected in 2016.
