Aftermath (cracking up) is a 2010 oil painting by award-winning book artist, painter and teacher Tara Bryan (1953-2020). It was part of her 2010 exhibition On Ice at The Rooms Provincial Art Gallery. In 2013, Aftermath (cracking up) was chosen as the image for permanent display on the façade on the Water Street side of the St. John’s Convention Centre. The project was part of the expansion of the City of St. John’s Convention Centre and was funded by the Government of Canada, Province of NL, City of St. John’s and Destination St. John’s.

The two-dimensional image was reproduced on an aluminum wall panel using Dri-Design Imaging Technology, a method of sculpting three-dimensional pixels into Dri-Design cladding panels. The image measures approximately 56 feet wide and 30 feet high.
